2 Bedroom Swan Cottage, Canal View, Parking, Kidlington, Oxford

Swan cottage Positive: Easy to find and convenient for Woodstock had a tea garden and pub and nice canal walks.We found the beds comfortable and the cottage had everything you required in it and a nice big kitchen .We only spent one night there but we found it was easy to communicate and received the appropriate directions and key safe before arriving .Nice that we had shower gel and tea / coffee etc and was well equipped and had easy internet etc .We liked the fact cctv as we left a relative doggie sitting so in our mind being so close to the canal etc this was a bonus not a hinderance .Was a good set up for us being to separate families as we had our own bathrooms and rooms . Negative: The train running behind the property might be an issue for some people we felt abit uneasy allowing the dogs in the garden so they had to remain on their leads but they had a long walk down the canal so that was not an issue for us .The garden at the front looked like it had a big hole near the window and the gate looked like it needed replacing .We became abit confused with the parking so hopefully we parked in the correct spots as we were not sure if we needed to pay for parking!

Quaint little house in a neat area! Positive: Adorable house full of character in a really neat area! We loved walking around and looking at the narrow boats. Cute little cafe across the street and an excellent pub with beer garden a short stroll away. The house is old, but appliances are new and worked great. Short drive to Oxford park and ride. Upstairs bedrooms were quite stuffy due to heat wave, but hosts were very accommodating to our requests for fans. Negative: All good!

Positive: The interior of Swan Cottage was lovely. Very comfortable lounge area, generous-sized kitchen, bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The white goods in the kitchen were all new. The house was spotless. Negative: The gardens could do with attention. The front gate needs repair and the front path may need a non-slip surface. One of the chairs in the kitchen needs repairing. The saucepans are adequate but need replacement soon. Pod coffee machine but no pods.
